This is a mandatory compliance requirement for all motor carriers operating in the United States. The FMCSA is introducing MOTUS, a next-generation registration platform scheduled for nationwide implementation in 2026. All current and future U.S. DOT registrants will be required to transition to the new system. MOTUS is designed to unify registration management, safety compliance data, and identity verification within a single secure portal. By replacing multiple outdated systems with one centralized platform, MOTUS simplifies account management, improves data accuracy, strengthens fraud prevention, and creates a more efficient process for maintaining federal motor carrier registrations and updates.
